OwnRyde is a private, member-only transportation network built on trust, safety, professionalism, and community respect.

These Community Standards (“Standards”) apply to all individuals using the Platform, including Rider Members, Driver Members, Ambassadors, support staff, and any other authorized users.

Membership in OwnRyde is a privilege, not a right. Violations of these Standards may result in suspension or permanent removal.

1. Our Core Values

All members are expected to uphold the following values:

• Safety
• Respect
• Honesty
• Professionalism
• Reliability
• Responsibility
• Community

These values define what it means to be part of OwnRyde.

2. Membership Requirements

To participate on the Platform, all members must:

• Provide truthful and accurate information
• Maintain up-to-date documentation
• Follow all OwnRyde policies
• Respect other members
• Commit to safe behavior
• Follow all applicable laws and regulations
• Not misuse the Platform

OwnRyde reserves full discretion to approve, suspend, or remove members.

3. Respectful Conduct

Members must:

• Treat others politely and with dignity
• Use appropriate language
• Avoid aggressive or confrontational behavior
• Respect personal space
• Maintain professionalism at all times

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

• Insults
• Yelling
• Threatening language
• Harassment
• Bullying
• Intimidation
• Discrimination

4. No Discrimination

OwnRyde strictly prohibits discrimination or harassment based on any protected characteristic, including but not limited to:

• Race
• Religion
• Ethnicity
• National origin
• Disability
• Sexual orientation
• Gender identity
• Age
• Appearance
• Language
• Political views

Everyone deserves fair, equal, and respectful treatment.

5. Safety Expectations

Rider Safety Expectations:

• Wear a seatbelt at all times
• Avoid distracting the driver
• Follow driver instructions when appropriate
• Enter and exit at safe locations
• Do not request illegal or unsafe stops
• Do not behave aggressively

Driver Safety Expectations:

• Drive sober and drug-free
• Follow all traffic laws
• Maintain a clean and safe vehicle
• Avoid distractions while driving
• Choose safe pickup and drop-off locations
• Use sound judgment during emergencies

6. Cleanliness & Care

Rider Responsibilities:

• Keep the vehicle clean
• Avoid eating messy food without permission
• Do not damage seats or interior
• Do not slam doors
• No smoking or vaping inside the vehicle
• Do not leave trash behind

Driver Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean interior
• Keep windows, seats, and floors clean
• Ensure no strong or unpleasant odors are present

7. Honesty & Integrity

Members must not:

• Use fake names
• Provide false documents
• Use fraudulent payment methods
• File false claims
• Manipulate ride pricing
• Misrepresent themselves
• Create multiple accounts

Honesty and integrity are core requirements of OwnRyde membership.

8. Reliability & Commitment

Rider Member Expectations:

• Be ready at the scheduled pickup time
• Avoid unnecessary cancellations
• Respect the driver’s time and schedule
• Communicate clearly

Driver Member Expectations:

• Arrive on time
• Avoid excessive cancellations
• Complete rides professionally
• Maintain clear communication

9. Privacy & Confidentiality

Members must respect privacy:

• Do not record others without consent
• Do not share personal information
• Do not expose photos or videos of others
• Do not attempt to locate someone outside the Platform

Driver Members may not:

• Save Rider Member phone numbers
• Contact riders after a ride
• Engage in stalking or inappropriate follow-ups

10. No Weapons or Dangerous Items

Members may not bring:

• Firearms (unless legally concealed)
• Knives
• Explosives
• Fireworks
• Hazardous chemicals
• Illegal substances

Safety is a top priority.

11. No Illegal Activity

Members may not:

• Transport illegal goods
• Engage in criminal activity
• Request illegal stops
• Possess or distribute drugs
• Participate in human trafficking
• Use the Platform for unlawful purposes

OwnRyde will cooperate with law enforcement when required.

12. Prohibited Interactions

• Requesting personal contact information
• Flirting or sexual comments
• Unwanted physical contact
• Romantic propositions
• Off-platform solicitation
• Political campaigning or pressure
• Religious proselytizing

All interactions must remain professional.

13. Protecting the Community

Members are required to report:

• Unsafe behavior
• Harassment
• Accidents
• Policy violations
• Illegal activity
• Document fraud

Reports may be submitted through the in-app reporting tools or by emailing support@ownryde.com.

14. Consequences of Violations

Violations of these Standards may result in:

• Warnings
• Mandatory training
• Temporary suspension
• Permanent removal
• Reporting to authorities

OwnRyde retains full decision-making authority regarding enforcement.

15. Membership Termination

OwnRyde may terminate membership for unsafe conduct, repeated cancellations, fraud, harassment, misuse of the Platform, insurance lapses (drivers), background check failures, or criminal activity.

Membership in OwnRyde is a privilege, not a right.

16. Updates to Standards

OwnRyde may update these Community Standards at any time. Continued use of the Platform signifies acceptance of the updated Standards.

17. Acceptance

By using the Platform, you agree to uphold community values, follow these Standards, respect other members, prioritize safety, and protect the OwnRyde community.
